You're Taking My Tan Off is the ninth episode of The Amazing Race 25.

The order of departure from City Gate in Valletta are as follows:

1. Adam & Bethany (9:25 pm)
2. Misti & Jim (10:07 pm)
3. Kym & Alli (10:50 pm)
4. Amy & Maya
5. Brooke & Robbie (1:07 am)

Amy & Maya's departure time was not shown on-screen.

Teams must fly to Singapore. Due to the limited number of flights out of Valletta, teams are given tickets to Paris, France, but must make their own arrangements to Singapore. However, they are not obligated to use them and may look for another itinerary. Upon arrival, teams must make their way to Changi Village, where they must take a bumboat to Pulau Ubin and search for a marked coconut stand. They must then finish drinking coconut milk from a coconut to receive their next clue.

The Fast Forward instructions were given to teams after receiving their clue at the Pulau Ubin coconut stand. Teams must travel to Sentosa's WaveHouse and surf for two minutes to keep their balance without falling on an artificially-generated wave. If both team members can stay on their surfboards for two minutes, they will win the Fast Forward. If more than one team was present, any team that fails must go to the back of the line before they are allowed to try again. Adam & Bethany won the Fast Forward.

Teams must make their way to the Marina Bay Sands and go to the 53rd floor, where they would find their next clue.

"Who wants to be a funambulist?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must tightrope walk between the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands hotel to another tower of the hotel to pick up their next clue at the other tower, and then make a trip back to the first tower before reuniting with their partner.

Teams must make their way to Centre Square at Raffles Place, where they would receive their next clue from a man wearing a red and yellow "Onward Singapore" placard.

Choice A: China Cups
Teams must make their way to Hong San See temple, where they must undergo a session of cupping therapy. After a painful back massage, scraping the skin, and then fire cupping, all of which are said to increase blood flow and remove toxins, they would receive their next clue from their masseuses.

Amy & Maya, Brooke & Robbie, and Kym & Alli chose this task.

Choice B: Chilli Crabs
Teams must make their way to the Red House seafood restaurant at Robertson Quay, where must work crack open enough crab claws smothered in chilli sauce to collect crabmeat from the popular Singaporean dish of chilli crab. Once teams have 2 pounds of crabmeat, the head chef would give them their next clue.

Only Misti & Jim chose this task.

Teams must make their way to Fort Canning, where they would find their next clue.

At Fort Canning, teams would have the option to U-Turn a team, with two slots available. Amy & Maya attempted to use the first slot of the U-Turn on Adam & Bethany, however Adam & Bethany won the Fast Forward, thus having no effect on them. The second slot went unused.

Teams must search for their next clue at one of the five official Merlion statues in Singapore, two at Merlion Park, one at Mount Faber, one at Sentosa, and one at Tourism Court, with the statue at Mount Faber being the correct one.

Teams must make their way to Fullerton Pavilion to check in.
For coming in first place, Adam & Bethany won a trip for two to Bali, Indonesia, provided by Travelocity.

Trivia

• The China Cups Detour was previously used as the China Cup Detour in "Baby Bear's Soup" in The Amazing Race: All-Stars, though no team attempted the task at the time.
• The Roadblock in this episode is in the same location as in the Roadblock in the eleventh leg on The Amazing Race Asia 4 and one of the Detour in the twelfth leg on The Amazing Race Australia 1.
• Likewise, the Fast Forward is in the same location was the Stay Up Detour also in the eleventh leg of The Amazing Race Asia 4.
• The Pit Stop greeter for this leg was Melody Chen, who previously competed on the The Amazing Race Asia 1.
• With Kym & Alli's elimination, Amy & Maya are the last all-female team standing.
• The episode title is said by Brooke Adams.
• This is the first time in the US version that the teams were directly on a flight to Singapore and did not take a train directly from Malaysia.
