The Amazing Race Philippines 1 is the first installment of the reality television show, The Amazing Race Philippines. Filipino-British actor and model Derek Ramsay hosted this season. It premiered on October 29, 2012 on TV5.

NotesEdit

Note 1: Crystel & Mykey and Pamela & Vanessa were unable to complete either Detour choices at Star City due to rain and instead had their next clues given to them.
Note 2: Marc & Kat used their Salvage Pass to enter the Bantay Bell Tower in Bantay 30-minutes before the "Hours of Operation."
Note 3: Anton & Armand initially arrived 4th but received a 24-hour penalty for breaking the rules when Anton contacted a relative on his cellphone. After all teams have checked in, Anton & Armand were eliminated from the race.
Note 4: Fausto & Dayal initially arrived 6th but did not perform the additional task at the Maligcong Rice Terraces before heading to the pit stop. They were instructed to perform the additional task before they could be checked in. During this time, Dani & Mish and Ed & Angel checked in at the the pit stop dropping them to 8th.
Note 5: Pamela & Vanessa incorrectly answered the number of steps on their first try before heading to the Baguio pit stop. Since they were last, they were allowed to check-in and were eliminated from the race.
Note 6: Marc & Kat used the Express Pass to bypass the Roadblock in Leg 5.
Note 7: Dani & Mish received a 20-minute penalty for Dani asking Dayal the answers for the Roadblock.
Note 8: Dani & Mish received a 4-hour penalty for failing to complete the Roadblock after three allowable attempts.
Note 9: Boom & Cheng and Marc & Kat received a 1-hour penalty for not taking a jeepney from Holiday Inn Clark to the Mabalacat Bus Terminal.
Note 10: Ed & Angel received a 2-hour penalty for not finishing the task at Red Labuyo Restaurant.
Note 11: Since Ed & Angel arrived last, they were eliminated without assessing the 30-minute penalty.
Note 12: Boom & Cheng and Fausto & Dayal received a 40-minute penalty upon arrival in Cebu for booking business class tickets.
Note 13: The Yield was an Anonymous Yield. Therefore, LJ & CJ did not have to reveal themselves when using it.
Note 14: Sheena & Gee initially arrived 5th but was not allowed to check-in immediately because they did not come into agreement with their taxi driver in their fare. The driver was then asked but then accepted the terms and Derek checked them in. This did not affect their placement.
Note 15: Marc & Kat initially arrived 2nd but received a 40-minute penalty for untying the rope path in the Detour. During their penalty, LJ & CJ checked-in dropping them to 3rd.
Note 16: Sheena & Gee initially arrived 3rd but received a 30-minute penalty for being "marked for elimination" and not arriving first. During their time, LJ & CJ checked-in dropping them to 4th and were eliminated.
Note 17: Fausto & Dayal received a 15-minute penalty for using one of the illegal words in the description at the Smart Puerto Princesa task.

Red = team eliminated.
Orange = non-elimination leg.
Coral = leg number had no mandatory rest period at the Pit Stop and ordered to continue racing.
Purple = team used the Express Pass.
Blue = team who came in last on an elimination leg was saved by the team with the Salvage Pass.
Fuchsia = team used the Salvage Pass to gain a time advantage.
Green ƒ = team won the Fast Forward.
Yellow > = team used Yield • < = team received Yield.
Brown » = team used U-Turn • Brown « = team received U-Turn.
Gold ∪ = team penalized for Automatic U-Turn.

Similar to Israel Season 2, teams will vote for who should receive the Yield/U-Turn. The team who has the most votes would get Yielded or U-Turned.

Leg 1 - Episode 1 (Metro Manila)Edit

- Teams had to decode the nautical flags ("Blue Skies and Calm Waters") in the dock to receive their next clue.
Midas Hotel and Casino, Pasay
- Teams must change into formal attire and play a special game of Baccarat in order to receive their next clue. The chips they will earn will also lead them to their next destination (Astrodome).
Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay
- One team member must shoot in five basketballs from the 15-foot free throw line in order to receive their next clue.
Plaza Miranda, Quiapo, Manila
- Teams must convince twelve people to perform the nursery rhyme "Bingo" with the satisfaction of the judge in order to receive their next clue.
Star City, Pasay
- Pindot (Press): Teams need to find and then take a picture of a flag around the park in order to receive their next clue. The flag is located in the Wild River ride.
- Ikot (Spin): Teams need to solve three mathematical problems while riding the Spring Ride, a pendulum ride, in order to receive their next clue.

Marc & Kat won ₱200,000 from American Tourister and the Salvage Pass for placing 1st in this leg.

Leg 2 - Episode 2 (Metro Manila → Ilocos Sur)Edit

From Cubao Bus Terminal, Quezon City to Vigan, Ilocos Sur
Bantay Parish - Bantay Bell Tower, Bantay
Public Market, Bantay
- Gawa (Work): Teams must make Longanizas and must pass the standards of the vendor in order to receive their next clue.
- Nguya (Chew): Teams must eat a plate of Longanizas in order to receive their next clue.
Pagburnayan District, Vigan
- The Intersected teams must transport 50 burnay jars to Calle Crisologo using a horse driven cart called a "kariton" in order to receive their next clue. However, if teams break more than five jars, they will receive a time penalty per broken jar. After this task, the teams were no longer Intersected.
Quirino Bridge, Bantay
- One team member must ride a kayak and paddle to reunite with their partner who must rappel down the Quirino Bridge. Once both team members have reunited, they must now paddle themselves to the shore in order to receive their next clue.
Plaza Burgos, Vigan
- Teams must participate in a traditional game called "Pukpok Palayok," where one team member would be blindfolded and must hit the clay pot with a bat where their next clue was contained. The other member must use a tambourine to help guide their blindfolded partner to hit the pot.
St. Paul's Cathedral, Vigan

Leg 3 - Episode 3 (Ilocos Sur → Mountain Province)Edit

Kadchog Hanging Bridge, Bontoc, Mountain Province
- Teams must travel by marked van to the Kadchog Hanging Bridge in Bontoc. Once there, they must find the Clue Box containing their next clue.
Kimakim's Chicken Farm, Bontoc / Rice field, Bontoc
- Magkarga (Carry): Teams must deliver 20 chickens to the Bontoc Public Market where they will receive their next clue.
- Magsaka (Plow): Teams must use an ox-drawn plow to till the soil until the hidden clue is found.
Provincial Plaza, Bontoc
- One team member must participate in a dance where they must put a pot in their head without it falling down for 90 seconds in order to receive their next clue.
- Before heading to the pit stop, teams must weigh 20 kilos of rice then must bring the rice pack to the next pit stop.
Maligcong Rice Terraces, Bontoc

Leg 4 - Episode 4 (Mountain Province → Benguet)Edit

Balatoc Mines, Itogon
- One team member must find a key in the wall holes of the mines in order to open a chest with a gold bullion, which must be brought outside the mines to a gold miner in order to receive their next clue.
Baguio City Public Market, Baguio
- Boom & Cheng Yielded LJ & CJ.
- Sell 10: Teams need to sell ten broomsticks to receive their next clue.
- Buy 10: Teams need to buy ten listed items within the provided budget to receive their next clue.
Baguio City Old Market - BM Parungao Shoe Store, Baguio
- Teams need to match ten pairs of shoes in the shoe shop to receive their next clue.
Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, Baguio
- While heading to the pit stop, teams need to count the number of steps they climb in order to be checked in at the pit stop. The correct answer is 215.

Leg 5 - Episode 5 (Benguet → Zambales)Edit

- Teams must feed a tiger named "Kitty" to receive their next clue.
Tree Top Adventure, Subic
- Three teams voted for Marc & Kat to do the Yield, while three other teams voted for Dani & Mish to do the Yield also.
- The team member who performed the Roadblock must answer questions in an electronic tablet involving the Philippine presidents while their partner will be hanging on a harness 100 feet above. If all questions are answered correctly within 15 seconds, the one hanging will slowly be dropped to the ground and will receive their next clue but if they failed to answer a question, the one hanging will be dropped fast and will have to repeat the task.
Global Shipment Terminal, Subic
- Teams must break a solid concrete tube using the tools provided to receive their next clue.

Leg 6 - Episode 6 (Zambales → Pampanga → Tarlac)Edit

Angeles City Flying Club, Magalang
- One team member must ride an ultralight aircraft and must throw flour bombs into targets located in the ground with a score of five points to receive their next clue.
Clark Freeport – Clark Eagle Range and Gun Club, Angeles City
- Tamaan (Hit): Teams must shoot a certain point of the target using a rifle and a pistol.
- Iwasan (Evade): Teams must enter an obstacle course where they must evade the paintball shooters while crossing the course to retrieve their next clue in the bags hanged at the other end of the course.
- Three teams voted for Dani & Mish to do the U-Turn.
SM City Clark, Angeles City
- Teams must convince not more than ten people to help them carry their car to the designated parking area then must stack themselves into the car for 30 seconds to receive their next clue.
Mt. Pinatubo - Sitio Tarukan, Capas, Tarlac

Leg 7 - Episode 7 (Tarlac → Albay)Edit

Holiday Inn Clark, Angeles City
- Teams had to carry eight luggages which they must carry throughout the leg in order to check in to the pit stop.
From Mabalacat Bus Terminal, Mabalacat to Legazpi Terminal, Legazpi, Albay (via Cubao Bus Terminal, Quezon City, Manila)
Red Labuyo Restaurant, Daraga
- Teams had to eat a bowl of Bicol Express and Strawberry ice cream to receive their next clue.
Cagsawa Ruins, Daraga
- Pig: Teams must catch five oiled pigs in a pig pen to receive their next clue.
- Jig: Teams must wear costumes and perform a traditional Ibalong dance to receive their next clue.
World War II Japanese Tunnel, Legazpi
- Teams had to find a box inside the tunnel which contained their next clue.
Lava Wall, Legazpi
- One team member must ride an all-terrain vehicle to deliver one luggage among those that they brought all the way to Albay to a local chieftain who would open it for them. If the team member picked the wrong luggage, they will need to go back and pick the correct luggage which contains their next clue.

Leg 8 - Episode 8 (Albay)Edit

Legazpi City Public Market - Lana's Halo-Halo Store, Legazpi
- Teams must eat a bowl of halo-halo to reveal a sticker at the bottom of the bowl which would lead them to Yanzon's Store within the market where their next clue is located. They would have to exchange their empty bowl for their next clue.
Barangay Damacan, Bacacay
- Crabs: Teams must catch and deliver crabs to a fisherman who will hand out their next clue.
- Coconut: Teams must scrape out meat from coconut manually then must produce coconut milk from the meat to receive their next clue.
From Sula Port, Bacacay to Cagraray Island, Bacacay
Misibis Bay, Bacacay
- One team member must proceed to the lobby of the Misibis Bay resort and find the assigned room while carrying four cocktail drinks with one hand where they will receive their next clue.
Misibis Bay - Luyang Beach, Bacacay
- Teams must build a raft using the provided materials and must paddle themselves to the pit stop in Mosboron Beach.

- Teams must search for a person dressed up as Datu Lapu-Lapu who will give them their next clue.
Shangri-La Mactan Island Resort & Spa - Vanafi Jewelry Store, Lapu-Lapu
- Teams must arrange the jewelry from the cheapest to the most expensive to receive their next clue.
Tabo-an Market, Cebu
- Saang (Shellfish): Teams had to crack open shellfishes and sell 35 of them for not less than ₱15 each with a total of ₱525 using a kariton (cart) to receive their next clue.
- Uling (Charcoal): Teams must repack 50 plastic bags of charcoal to receive their next clue.
Parkmall - Coco Hair Salon, Mandaue City
- The Intersected teams must convince two people whose hair they can blow dry and shampoo to receive their next clue. After this task, the teams were no longer Intersected.
Crown Regency Hotel and Towers, Cebu
- One team member must wall climb a rock wall to the top of the tower where a Yield is located then must climb the spire to retrieve their next clue.

- Lulubog (Sink): Teams must remove two rings without untying the ropes from a screen board to receive their next clue.
- Lilitaw (Float): Teams must ride an outrigger canoe called "Paraw" and sail it manually to three buoys where they have to remove a coconut tied under it in each buoy to receive their next clue.
White Beach - Sprite Beach Party, Boracay
- Teams must find a Sprite bottle in a marked carrying case that has the logo of The Amazing Race Philippines under the cap to receive their next clue. However, if the chosen bottle does not have the logo under the cap, they must drink that bottle of Sprite in order to choose another bottle.
Puka Shell Beach, Boracay
- One team member must dig through the sand at a marked area where they must find their next clue.

- Teams must construct a tent for which they will use for their overnight rest with the satisfaction of a ranger to receive their next clue.
Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, Puerto Princesa
- Teams must search for the date marking of Lt. H.G. Warwick's first visit to the Subterranean River. Once found, they must take a picture of the marking and present it to the judge to receive their next clue.
Sabang X Zip line, Puerto Princesa
- One team member must ride a 800-meter long zip line and memorize the pattern of four sets of different colors in four boats. Once ashore, the team member must arrange it in order with the correct combination to receive their next clue.
Karst Mountain - Elephant Cave, Puerto Princesa
- Teams must break several coconuts using the tools provided then must find one that has a red-colored flesh to receive their next clue.
Barangay Buenavista - Brgy. Buenavista Elementary School, Puerto Princesa / Buenavista Fisherman's Village, Puerto Princesa
- Swing: Teams must perform a 5-step baton swirling routine with a marching band with the satisfaction of the judge to receive their next clue. They must also donate a certain amount of money to the school courtesy of Brother Industries Philippines before leaving.
- Stroke: Teams must refurbish a boat by painting and fixing dents on it then name the boat to their preference to receive their next clue.
Bahili Wharf, Puerto Princesa
Marc & Kat won ₱200,000 from American Tourister for placing 1st in this leg.
Marc & Kat also won ₱100,000 and printing supplies from Brothers Industries Philippines for finishing first in the Taguig task.

Leg 12 - Episode 12 (Palawan)Edit

Puerto Princesa Public Market, Puerto Princesa
- Before the Detour, teams must search for a tricycle that says "CLUE BOX" which contains a clue box inside with their next clue.
- Count: Teams must count the number of fishes then write the correct number of the counted fishes to receive their next clue.
- Carry: Teams must collect three eels, two blocks of ice and a tray of eggs and transport them to a seafood restaurant to receive their next clue. However, if a team breaks a block of ice or an egg fells or breaks, they will need to go back to the market and get set of the said commodities.
Starfish Island, Honda Bay
- One team member must search for a bottle among hundreds of bottles scattered around that has a message inside it that will help them find their next destination.
Pandan Island, Honda Bay
- Each team member must answer five questions. If both of their answers match, they will receive their next clue.
Luli Island, Honda Bay
Marc & Kat won a one-year supply of Caltex with Techron for placing 1st in this leg.

Leg 13 - Episode 13 (Palawan → Davao del Sur → Davao del Norte)Edit

Smart Puerto Princesa and Sheena Travel Asia, Puerto Princesa
- One team member must call their partner who is at Sheena Travel Asia to describe their next destination using the image displayed on an electronic tablet, which is the durian monument in Davao, to receive their next clue.

- Teams must search for their next clue around the park which is transcribed in a statue.

- One team member must arrange twelve numbered flags in order, which represents the twelve previous legs of the race, by placing them beside each of the twelve statues with the regions of the Philippines engraved on them to receive their next clue.
Davao Crocodile Park, Davao
- Teams must perform a tightrope walk over a crocodile pen to receive their next clue.
Moto-X Davao, Davao
- One team member must perform a motocross and must finish twenty laps around the circuit to receive their next clue.
