The Amazing Race 30 is the thirtieth installment of the reality television show, The Amazing Race.


As with The Amazing Race 25 and The Amazing Race 27, CBS announced on September 27 that the season would begin filming on October 1 at Washington Square Park in New York City, and invited fans to come take part in the start of the race. The first two teams was immediately announced: Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf from the recently concluded Big Brother 19,[2] and IndyCar racers Alexander Rossi and Conor Daly.[3] The first destination of the season was revealed at the live start line, and confirmed by executive producer and co-creater Elise Doganieri on Twitter.[4]

1: Cedric & Shawn arrived in 8th place, but were given a 30 minute penalty as a result of Cedric unwittingly giving Shawn advice at the Roadblock. Eric & Daniel checked in during this time, dropping them down to 9th.

  • At a total of eight weeks, The Amazing Race 30 is the shortest season in terms of seasonal run.
  • This will be the first US season to feature the Double Battle (known as the "Head-to-Head").[9]
