The Amazing Race 25 is the twenty-fifth installment of The Amazing Race. It aired on CBS from September 26, 2014 to December 19, 2014 on a new timeslot, Fridays at 20:00 ET (19:00 CT).[1]

Development

Filming for the season began on May 31, 2014, with the Starting Line taking place at Times Square in New York City. For the first time, the Starting Line was opened to the public, rather than in a private location to avoid spoilers. This led to the announcements of the teams' identities on the same day and the rewarding of The Save, an elimination dispensation pass, which replaced the Express Pass as the prize rewarded to the first place team on the first leg.

This season travelled through four continents, eight countries, and 20 cities under a distance of 26,000 miles (42,000 km).[2]
