One of You, I'm Gonna Break in Half is the eighth episode of The Amazing Race 6.

Synopsis[]

As teams continue to make their way through Budapest, infighting among teammates proves to be more challenging than the tasks they compete in.

When teams enter the "Heritage Rail Museum" to get their route marker, a large steel gate crashes down on two team members' heads. One team member loses their temper because they think that someone intentionally pulled the gate down and threatens the other teams. After getting the clue, one team opts for the Fast Forward where they engage in a ritual from Hungarian folklore of drinking a goblet of pig's blood. And, teams struggle through the roadblock of eating a 24-ounce bowl of spicy Hungarian soup.[2]

Story[]

Route Markers[]

Teams must make their way to the Heritage Rail Museum and ride a draisine down the tracks at speeds up to 50 miles per hour to get their next clue.

Teams must make their way to Margaret Island and find their next clue at the Hajos Alfred Nemzeti Sportuszoda.

The Fast Forward instructions were given to teams after finding their clue at the Heritage Rail Museum. Teams must descend through a cavernous labyrinth at Buda Castle and partake in the legend of vampires by each drinking a goblet of pig's blood, recalling when Transylvania was part of Hungary. The first team to drink the goblets of blood would claim the Fast Forward. Lori & Bolo won the Fast Forward.

Choice A: Swim
Teams must make their way to an Olympic-sized swimming pool and participate in a water polo game. Working together, each team must score a goal against a top Hungarian water polo player to receive their next clue.

Adam & Rebecca, Freddy & Kendra, Hayden & Aaron, Jonathan & Victoria, and Kris & Jon completed this task.

Choice B: Paddle
Teams must inflate a raft with a hand pump and paddle the raft across the Danube River to a flag on the other side. When the flag was found, they would receive their next clue.

Only Gus & Hera chose completed task.

Teams must make their way to Gundel Restaurant to find their next clue.

"Who's ready to spice up their life?"

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must eat a 24-ounce bowl of traditional Hungarian Fisherman's soup to receive their next clue.

The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:

Teams must make their way to Point Zero, then either take the Budapest Castle Hill Funicular or make their way on foot to the Fisherman's Bastion to check in. For coming in first, Lori & Bolo won a vacation to romantic Europe, courtesy of American Airlines.
