The order of departure from Kumbali Village are as follows:

Teams must take a bus to Salima. Upon arrival, teams will receive their next clue at the Salima Bus Station.

At the Salima Bus Station, Amani & Marcus would receive their clue for their Speed Bump. Amani & Marcus must solve a slide puzzle forming the Flag of Malawi, before they are allowed to continue.

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock must ride a kabaza, a local bicycle taxi, to take a customer carrying fish to one of three different destinations. After they drop off their customer to the required address, they must head back to the Salima Bus Station to trade in their earnings of K100 to the kabaza dispatcher to receive their next clue.

Choice A: Dugout
Teams must make their way to Chigumukile Village on the shores of Lake Malawi, where they must participate in the annual Dugout Canoe Race. Teams must use canoes to paddle out to drummers out on the lake and then paddle back to shore to receive their clue from a local fisherman.

Andy & Tommy, Bill & Cathi, Ernie & Cindy, Jeremy & Sandy, Justin & Jennifer, and Laurence & Zac chose this task.

Choice B: Lugout
Teams must make their way to Chigumukile Village on the shores of Lake Malawi, where they must wade to a ferryboat on the lake and unload passengers and cargo from the ferry by carrying it to shore. They must unload two boxes of cabbage, two bundles of sugar cane, two bundles of brooms, one chair, one fan, and eight passengers to the shore in order to receive their next clue.

Only Amani & Marcus chose this task.

Ernie & Cindy used their Express Pass to bypass the Dugout Detour.

Teams must make their way to Jamaica Shop in Chigumukile Village, where they would find their next clue.

At Jamaica Shop, teams would have the option to U-Turn a team, with two slots available. Laurence & Zac attempted to use the first slot of the U-Turn on Amani & Marcus, however Amani & Marcus already passed the U-Turn before Laurence & Zac, having no effect on them. The second slot went unused.

Teams must make their way on foot to Sunbird Livingstonia Beach to check in.
For coming in first place, Andy & Tommy won a $15,000 Discover Card gift card.
