Man, They Should Have Used Their Fake Names is the tenth episode of The Amazing Race 9.

Synopsis

Knowing that the Million Dollar Prize is within their reach, the final four teams turn up the intensity.

Teams fly to Darwin, Australia and must wade through a crocodile-infested pool to receive their next clue. The Racers also perform an intense Roadblock which requires one teammate to perform a tandem skydive with a trained professional. This entire leg is full of foot races which culminate with a three-way sprint to the Pit Stop. Meanwhile, Teams continue to play head games with each other and one duo takes the scheming a step further when they cancel all the cabs waiting for the remaining teams.[2]

Route Markers

The order of departure from South Breakwater are as follows:

  1. Eric & Jeremy (11:47 pm)
  2. Joseph & Monica (11:48 pm)
  3. BJ & Tyler (11:56 pm)
  4. Ray & Yolanda (12:23 am)

Teams must make their way to the Swan Bells Tower. At the of the bell tower, teams will find their next clue.

Teams must fly to Darwin. Upon arrival, teams must find Crocodylus Park and wade through crocodile infested waters to find their next clue.

Teams must drive themselves to Batchelor Airstrip to find their next clue.

At Teatro di Segesta, teams would have the option to Yield a team. BJ & Tyler used the Yield on Joseph & Monica.

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock would have to choose a plane and at an altitude of 12,000 feet tandem skydive with an instructor. Once they've landed, the instructor will hand over their next clue.

Teams must drive themselves to Litchfield National Park and search the Magnetic Termite Mounds to find their next clue.

Choice A: Wet
Teams must drive 6 miles to a swimming hole called Buley Rockhole. Once there, teams must then hike and swim 1 mile down river infested with spiders and poisonous plants. When they've completed the trek, they would receive their next clue.

BJ & Tyler and Eric & Jeremy chose this task.

Choice B: Dry
Teams must drive 6 miles on-road, then another 6 miles off-road to a rock formation known as The Lost City. Once there, teams must select a didgeridoo and follow the sound of music in the air, to locate a nearby Aborigine. Then, they have to find an Aboriginal musician with a matching didgeridoo and each play a note to receive the next clue.

Joseph & Monica and Ray & Yolanda chose this task.

Teams must drive themselves to Lake Bennett Wilderness Resort to check in.

For coming in first, Ray & Yolanda won two one-year leases for Mercedes ML350s.

For coming in last place, BJ & Tyler would have to surrender all of their money and possessions, except for the clothes they're wearing and their passports, and they would not receive any money at the start of the next leg.
