It's Not Over Until The Phil Sings is the fourth episode of The Amazing Race 9.


Driving to the Roadblock in Germany, one team follows another who leads them in the wrong direction.

Computers crash at a foreign airport leaving several teams stranded without a flight and allowing a few lucky teams to surge ahead. Teams drive themselves to the Bavaria Film Studios in Munich, Germany and choose between two detour options. One option allows teams to relieve their frustrations and tensions from the stress of the race by bashing bottles over each others' heads.[2]


Route Markers

Teams must fly to Frankfurt, Germany. Upon arrival, teams must take a train to Stuttgart. Once their, teams must find the Mercedes-Benz Headquarters to find their next clue.

Teams must choose a Mercedes-Benz vehicle and driver for a thrilling ride on the test course known at the factory as the Wall of Death. After taking a course at a high-speed of 170 kilometers per hour (110 miles per hour) and their cars have turned to an almost 90 degree angle, they would receive their next clue.

Teams must drive themselves to Bad Tölz and find Ellbach Field. Once they arrive, they must search the field for their next clue.

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock would have to search among 150 hats and feet scattered across a large field for one of eleven hidden Travelocity roaming gnomes containing their next clue. Teams must also carry the gnome with them for the remainder of the leg.

Teams must drive themselves to Grünwald and find Bavaria Film Studios and get their next clue at the gate.

Choice A: Break It
Teams must take turns breaking a table full of "stunt bottles" over each other's heads until they find prost, the German word for cheers written on the back of the label they would receive their next clue. However, they can only smash one bottle per cuckoo from a traditional German cuckoo clock.

BJ & Tyler, Dave & Lori Eric & Jeremy, and Lake & Michelle chose this task.

Choice B: Slap It
Teams have to learn and perform a traditional Schuhplattler folk dance. When the folk dance is performed properly, the actor would give them their next clue.

Danielle & Dani, Fran & Barry, Joseph & Monica, Ray & Yolanda, and Wanda & Desiree chose this task.

Teams must drive to Munich park their cars at Leopoldstrasse and find Siegestor to check in.

For coming in first, Eric & Jeremy won a trip to Africa, including whitewater rafting down the Zambezi River, an elephant-back safari, and seeing Victoria Falls, all sponsored by Travelocity.
