I'm Sick of Doing Stuff I Can't Do is the sixth episode of The Amazing Race Family Edition.

Synopsis

In an exciting foot race to the mat, teams are within seconds of each other as they fight exhaustion to claim first prize.

The families leave Panama and head to San Jose, Costa Rica in search of their next clue. One Team is yielded at a roadblock and passes the time by talking trash about their competition. Another family struggles with a seemingly simple task and watches their lead over the others quickly dwindle. Meanwhile, two racers watch in awe as one member of their family out-muscles them.[2]

Route Markers

The order of departure from the Miraflores Locks are as follows:

  1. Paolo Family (8:22 pm)
  2. Weaver Family (9:11 pm)
  3. Bransen Family (9:16 pm)
  4. Linz Family (9:17 pm)
  5. Gaghan Family (9:23 pm)
  6. Godlewski Family (9:43 pm)

Teams must take one of three charter buses to San José, Costa Rica. Charter buses leave thirty minutes apart and are first come, first serve. Upon arrival, teams must make their way to Poás Volcano National Park and find their clue on the outer rim of Volcán Poás.

The Fast Forward instructions were given to them after find their clue at Volcán Poás. However, none of the team opted to use the Fast Forward, so the task is unknown.

Teams must drive themselves to the Doka Estate to search for their next clue.

At the Doka Estate, teams would have the option to Yield a team. The Paolo Family used the Yield on the Weaver Family.

The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock would have to choose a pile of coffee beans, weighing a total of 800lbs. They had to search through this entire pile of beans, searching for a single red bean, which they could exchange for their next clue.

Teams must drive themselves to Jaco and find Roca Loca Surf Shop to receive their next clue from the shopkeeper.

Choice A: Relic
Teams must travel by Diablo Rojo to Casco Viejo. They must visit several locations to collect four musical instruments – saxophone (in Teatro Nacional de Panamá), trumpet (in Escuela Simón Bolívar), conga drum (in Casa Góngora) and trombone (Instituto Nacional de Cultura). Once they've retrieved all the instruments, they must deliver them by foot to Take Five Jazz and Wine where a band leader would hand their next clue.

The Bransen, Gaghan, Godlewski, Linz, and Weaver Families chose this task.

Choice B: Ripe
Teams must travel to Frutas Selectas del Tropico, a banana plantation, where they are to gather 15 bushels of bananas and load them on hanging tracks. Then, using a local pulling system, they must haul them to the distribution center, where the foreman would give their next clue.

Only the Paolo Family chose this task.

Teams must drive themsevles to Quepos and find Malecon to check in. For coming in first place, the Paolo Family won an individual "wild rides" with a choice of a Segway HT, a Vespa, a jet ski or an all-terrain vehicle, courtesy of the Wild Bean Cafe at BP.
