I'm Gonna Throw Up on Phil's Shoes is the seventh episode of The Amazing Race 2.


With an elimination looming, fortunes change dramatically for one team.

Seven teams race from the mountains of Northern Thailand to the bustling streets of Hong Kong where they face challenges ranging from controlling a 40-ton crane to consuming a 5,000-year-old Chinese remedy to avoid being eliminated.[2]


Route Markers

The order of departure from Karen Village are as follows:

  1. Mary & Peach (8:55 pm)
  2. Gary & Dave (8:56 pm)
  3. Blake & Paige (9:00 pm)
  4. Oswald & Danny (9:08 pm)
  5. Tara & Wil (9:22 pm)
  6. Chris & Alex (9:23 pm)

Teams must find Wat Chet Yot in Chiang Mai to find their next clue.

Teams must fly to Hong Kong, China and climb to the highest floor of the Central Plaza building in Wan Chai to find their next clue.

The instructions for the Fast Forward were found with their clue at Central Plaza.

Teams must mast their way to find Wong Tai Sin Temple in Wong Tai Sin, where they found a fortune teller in the basement who then gave one team member a face reading and the other a palm reading. Gary & Dave won the Fast Forward.

At the top floor of Central Plaza, teams used binoculars to search the area for a "green and white star", leaving to figure out that the logo of Star Ferry at Wan Chai Pier on the ground below.

Choice A: Wishing Tree
Teams had to take a taxi 18 miles (29 km) to Lam Tsuen and find the Lam Tsuen wishing trees. Once there, they needed to write one wish on a scroll and throw it into the tree's branches to receive the next clue.

Only Oswald & Danny chose this task.

Choice B: Herbal Tea
Teams had to walk to a nearby herbal shop in a marketplace on Saigon Street in Yau Ma Tei and ask for a bitter herbal tea. At the herbal shop, both team members then had to drink a cup of foul-tasting tea to receive the next clue.

Blake & Paige, Chris & Alex, Mary & Peach, and Tara & Wil chose this task.

Teams must find Hongkong International Terminals container port in Kwai Chung and find their clue in the maze of containers.

One team member had to climb into a crane and use the controls to lift one 2,000 lb (910 kg) shipping container off of a truck and onto the ground. The same team member then had to return the crane to its original position. Once this was done, the other team member was allowed to get the next clue from the side of the shipping container.

Neither Mary or Peach preformed the roadblock as they fell too far behind the other teams and were directed immediately to the pit stop.

Teams must make their way to Victoria Harbour and take a boat to the board the Duk Ling Chinese Junk.
