Funky Monkey is the fourth episode of The Amazing Race 21.

Story

Route Markers

The order of departure from SMA Negeri 1 Bangil High School are as follows:

Only Abbie & Ryan's and Trey & Lexi's departure times were shown on-screen.

Teams must fly to Dhaka, Bangladesh. Upon arrival, teams must travel by taxi to Rubel Model Auto Mobiles, where they will find their next clue.

The Fast Forward instructions were given to them after receiving their clue at Temple Ateshgah. Teams would have to become rat catching assistants to a pest control agent. Both team members have to fill a bag with dead rats, collecting them from three different locations. Once they've filled both their bag, they would win the Fast Forward. James & Abba won the Fast Forward.

The team member assigned to perform the Roadblock would have to repair one of the public transit buses used in Dhaka. First, teams have to use body putty to fill in the damage, then sand it to be ready for painting. Once approved by a supervisor, they then have to carry three pairs of seats and deliver them to the refurbishing area to receive their next clue.

Teams must travel by taxi to Kawran Bazaar Shootkir Market. Once there, teams must find a fish stall and search through two barrels of dried fish to find one marked in red and yellow they can trade for their next clue.

Choice A: Pound the Metal
Teams would have to work with a local blacksmith to hammer and beat an iron rod into a sharp spiked tool using 10-pound sledgehammers. They have to hand-pump the bellows of the smokey, charcoal fire so they can strike while the iron is hot. Once they get the blacksmith's approval on their spike, teams will receive their next clue.

Natalie & Nadiya, Rob & Kelley, and Trey & Lexi chose this task.

Choice B: Pound the Cotton
Teams would have to make a cotton mattress via a traditional Bengali method. Teams have to use bamboo rods to beat clumps of cotton into a fine, feather-like consistency. Then they have to stuff the mattress, and sew it together. Once the craftsman is satisfied with their work, he will hand them their next clue.

Abbie & Ryan, Gary & Will, Jaymes & James, and Josh & Brent chose this task.

Teams must travel by boat to Swarighat in Old Dhaka, then travel on foot to Shyambazar Chan Mia Ghat to check in. For coming in first place, James & Abba won a trip for two to Antigua, provided by Travelocity.
