Double U-Turn Ahead is the sixth episode of The Amazing Race 29.
The order of departure from Mount Aksla are as follows:
Since the previous leg was a no-rest leg, teams immediately departed from the Pit Stop to continue racing.
The team member assigned to perform this Roadblock would have to search for three words; "Cernobbio", "Concordia", and "Lago", while on a dinner tram in a single lap The catch is they will be treated to a meal that they must finish before they continue racing. At the end of their ride, they must recite all three words correctly to the conductor to receive their next clue. If they do not recite all three correct words, they must ride the tram again. In addition, only four racers could be on a single tram at a time.
The Roadblock performers per team are underlined:
Teams must travel by taxi to Cernobbio and then take the Concordia steamship, where they will claim a departure time for the next morning at either 7:00 am, 7:05 am, 7:10 am, 7:15 am, 7:20 am, 7:25 am, or 7:30 am, into to the town of Varenna.
Teams must travel to Green Way dei Patriarchi to find their next clue.
At Green Way dei Patriarch, teams would have the option to U-Turn a team, with two slots available and anonymously. Liz & Michael used the first slot of the U-Turn on Vanck & Ashton. Becca & Floyd attempted to use the second slot of the U-Turn on Liz & Michael, however Liz & Michael already passed the U-Turn before Becca & Floyd, thus having no effect on them.
Since Vanck & Ashton completed the Grab a Hold Detour, they would be forced to backtrack and complete the Make a Mold Detour before continuing.
Choice A: Make a Mold
Teams must make a plaster mold of a ghost, using their partner as a base to create the sculpture, to receive their next clue.
Choice B: Grab a Hold
Teams must make their way via boat to a nearby location, where one team member will ascend a 90 foot limestone cliff wall, while the other holds the other member's slack line, to receive their next clue at the top of the cliff.
